Tulsa Business Staff
2/8/2010

The City of Tulsa has spent a total of $770,835 this winter treating streets for snow and ice accumulation. This includes materials and overtime.

During five storm events covering 19 days through Feb. 3, Public Works personnel applied 8,738 tons of salt and 35.5 tons of a salt and sand mixture to arterial streets. Crews plowed 39,240 miles of arterial lanes.

The City of Tulsa now has 4,000 tons of salt, 1,200 tons of the salt and sand mixture and 3,700 tons of sand remaining.
