A recent test conducted by the Oklahoma State Department of Education underscored that deficiency.When scores were tallied, students scored an average of around 50 percent on the test, Hall said. The Tulsa attorney has been teaching on and off for a decade. He and other Tulsa County Bar Association attorneys are involved in the Law Related Education classes in Tulsa and other parts of northeastern Oklahoma. The course is part of an effort by the Oklahoma Bar Association to make people aware of their rights. Many have no idea how to deal with wills or other civil matters, or even what their rights are if arrested, Hall said. The OBA has put out thousands of books to help people understand their rights.
